For To Stereoize Yr MTV
Monday, February 8, 2010

I’m assuming someone out there remembers these? Mark Goodman (who coined the unpleasant neologism “stereoize”) was plugging them like crazy on the first day the network aired. I think they were stickers (?) you could affix to yr FM tuner, so as to remember what dial position at which you might play MTV IN STEREO while watching the images flicker forth? Setting forth on some parallel-universe research here: might they signal MTV-as 1) new/convergent media 2) stereo/entertainment center component 3) plug-in, complete with proto-Web bookmarking capacity? All of the above? We shall see. Send me an email if you remember these, or especially if you actually have one/a photo/jpg of one in action.
