		<description>The Slits are one of those bands I group as interesting to think (and write) about, but not so much fun to listen to--at least at length. Which makes a lot of sense if you consider them as participating in larger feminist art movements (and talk about them in relation to feminist visual artists, writers, filmmakers)that sought to subvert patriarchy (blah blah) by denying pleasure--and pleasantness, obvs.</description>
