While I Was Away.
While cleaning my mailboxes (including my real live one), I came across some things that are probably old news to most of you but with which I am currently amusing myself. I just really need to put up some of the weird (non-music) Internet detritus that my buddy Mike sent my way while I was gondo:
- If this isn't a joke, it's up there on the awful scale with the ridiculous baby iPod thing from Fisher Price. Fuck these people.
- This letter from Robert Reed (Mike Brady) to Sherwood Schwartz (Brady Bunch impresario) is bizarre, and shows Reed's nascent diva stage in hilarious fashion.
- "A man transporting his wife's severed head in a pickup truck collided with an oncoming car, killing a woman and her 4-year-old daughter, police said. The impact sent the head flying onto the road."
- The website of a hillbilly athiest, the self-titled "biggest threat to (the) theocratic hold over the land of Dixie."

That Robert Reed post was delusionally brilliant! He HAD to be on drugs.
I'm pretty sure the Pimpfants site is for real--it was the answer to the multiple choice "which story is true" question of the week on NPR's "What Do Ya Know?" like two months ago.
