marathonpacks' best songs of 2006 (mostly.2)
Okay, first: don't ask, but I live-diaried Game 3 of the NBA Finals last night. Don't worry, it's not going here, but here. If you like any of this (don't expect much analysis, but lots of comment on commercials and who people look like), tell me, but if not, don't.
Second, here's the second installment of my preferred musical stuff released so far this year. There were still a lot left out, but they'll have to wait until the end of the year to be specially recognized in a mix by a marginally-talented music mixer with a blog. The other one's been taken down, dictated by my fear of bandwidth-overageness.
marathonpacks' best songs of 2006 (mostly.2) (bye-bye as well, 60:02, 55MB)
Numbered:
1. Destroyer "3000 Flowers"
2. A Sunny Day in Glasgow "C'mon"
3. Lilys "A Diana's Diana"
4. Prefuse 73 "With Dirt And Two Texts (Later Version With Love)"
5. Ghostface Killah "Shakey Dog"
6. Stereolab "Interlock"
7. Yeah Yeah Yeahs "Way Out"
8. Robert Pollard "Dancing Girls and Dancing Men"
9. The M's "Plan of the Man"
10. Phoenix "Long Distance Call"
11. Herbert "Something Isn't Right"
12. Gnarls Barkley "Crazy" (don't judge.)
13. Matmos "Steam and Sequins for Larry Levan"
14. T.I. "Why You Wanna"
15. His Name is Alive "In My Dream"
16. Citay "Nice Cuffs"
17. Midlake "Young Bride"
BUT THIRD, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, I'm leaving today for a week in Florida (wedding), during which time I will acquire a deep sunburn and a deeper disdain for air travel. You're in luck, because the steering wheel here will be manned by the delightful Hannah (skilled writer and occasional poster here), sure to raise the bar a bit in this dump. Tell her how happy you are to see her, when she shows up (not like you wouldn't). I'll be back next Wednesday.
