This video, taken from the Parappa the Rapper video game, is not as egregious and earth-shatteringly cred-killing as that kid in the Hiero tee-shirt will have you believe. Rationale: first, that kid totally only got into hip-hop via Deltron 3030, and his opinion should be considered in light of that. Second, De La are straight Paleolithic as far as the genre’s concerned, and there’s nothing wrong with teachin’ them youngins how to (literally) cook up a rhyme. Third, Parappa is incredibly addictive and the original game had a level completely devoted to taking a shit (true). Fourth, this.
PS: The flat-body/real-head animated electric slide thing is bizarre.

Parappa the Rapper is still one of my favorite games of all time. I can still recite lyrics from it, and i haven’t played it in like 7 years.
