Of Montreal “Disconnect the Dots” Live 5.14.2004, Austin TX
Saturday, February 25, 2006
Unfortunately, events have conspired to disallow my driving 2.4 hours southeast to see Of Montreal in Picasso-land (Newport, KY). The next-best thing, I figured, was to watch, on a lazy Saturday morning, a live set from a few years back. The next-next best thing, I surmised, would be to share the opening track with you, faithful reader, in iPod-ready format. So, here’s “Disconnect the Dots” (m4v), from a May 2004 show in Austin, TX. It’s fan-shot, but still eminently viewable, crowd jabber be damned. You should probably right-click and save-as—if it doesn’t work, lemme know. But not if you haven’t already updated Quicktime.
On a related note, I’m hoping for this to become a regular feature here—videos, that is. Bootlegs, 30-year-old TV rips, music videos, etc. I’m slightly embarassed at the breadth of my VHS collection, and it’s long overdue that I wheelbarrow much of it into the land of ones and zeroes. As always, subscribing to the feed at left will drop these into your iTunes without you having to lift a single finger. Let me know what you think, as always.

that would be cool seeing some old videos and stuff from 70’s/80’s etc. thank god for ones and zeroes.
I have a horrible VHS copy of an Invisibl Skratch Picklz performance I bought on my first and only trip to NY. Does it say “Sucker Tourist” on my forehead? Anyway, keep up the video work. It’s new. It’s fresh.
