Monday Morning Music Videos: Good Weather for an Airstrike’s Top 65 (!)

Today’s MMMV will be hosted (unbeknownst to them) by the recently controversial folks over at Good Weather for an Airstrike, who, through posting a good portion of their top 65 videos of 2005 with EZArchive, caused the server to crash and their subscription to be terminated. Don’t hate, though–they’ve left us with a magnificent post (and, now, a torrent of the entire top 65), barely exceeding in number the humungous top 50 at Do Copenhagen and my now relatively paltry (but still alive in spirit) top 20. Gondry’s “Denial Twist” (mov) and Doves “Sky Starts Falling” (mov) are ranked a bit low for my tastes, but then again, that’s why they’re my tastes. I did discover the clip for my still-favorite Animal Collective song “Leaf House” (mov) and several others that slipped under my radar, including Carpark North’s “Human”. The best part is that they actually take a minute with each of the 65 videos and write about them. Wonder of wonders! Check it out.
