For this week’s podcast, I’ve decided on an (ahem) gynocentric tone. This one’s for the ladies. These songs, to a degree, represent the breadth and depth of the female representation in all forms of music today, minus (egregiously) the hip-hops. I just got on a roll with this mix and couldn’t find a place for Missy, M.I.A., Lady Sovereign, etc. Next time, I promise. In the interim, though, is marathonpacks’ longest podcast to date–just an eyelash under 80 minutes, so it’ll still fit on a CD-R for those guys who’d like to show their girlfriends that they’re, you know, in touch.
