marathonpacks podcast #4
Sunday, October 30, 2005
This podcast will serve as the first to be distributed with Feedburner, a free and comprehensive distribution service that will allow marathonpacks to automatically download to your feed-reader of choice. Coolest to me, though, is the ability to feed it directly into your iTunes, and let it update each time you open the application (music only–you’ll still have to come here for my deliciously witty insight on all things cultural). Click on the link at the top right –it only takes a minute. And let me know what you think!
An update on the previous “podtest”–we have a winner! She (yes, she) managed to get all song titles and artists correct (and even spelled them all correctly!), and thus will receive the initial marathonpacks prize package, which consists of a variety of promotional items I’ve collected through the years. It’s kind of like when you go to a rural flea market and buy a stapled grocery bag full of stuff for a dollar, without the knowledge of what’s inside. The full tracklisting is now listed at the original post.
That said, marathonpacks podcast #4 is a decidedly rootsy affair, spurred no doubt by the beautiful, crisp weather we’ve been experiencing lately in Bloomington. No gimmicks here–the next “test” should be coming next week.
